Reading Recovery
Is your child struggling to read? We have developed a specialised 8-session phonics program for students between Prep and Grade 2. Students will focus on short vowel sounds, long vowel sounds, consonant blends and vowel digraphs to develop phonemic and phonics awareness with the help of workbooks and hands on activities. There is a maximum of 4 students per group so that we can give each student individual attention.
Writing Workshop
Our writing workshop is designed for students in Grades 4 to Year 7. This 8-session program will demystify the process of writing creative and persuasive pieces. Students will learn: how to plan a writing piece; how to use a variety of techniques to write introductions and conclusions; how to write descriptive sentences/paragraphs and how to use language to persuade effectively.
Foundation Maths
This program is suited for students in Years 4 to 8 who are still struggling with the four arithmetic operations – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The goal is to strengthen the four operations to prepare students for the study of BODMAS, fractions, decimals and percentages – all within the 8-session program.
VCE Maths Methods/General Maths/Further Maths
As we approach the mid-year exams, the school holiday period is the best time to review Term 1 topics and prepare for the upcoming Term 2 topics. Our small VCE maths study group sessions are a cost-effective way to work with a specialised tutor to help students achieve their study goals.
