BENEFITS OF THE NEW PROGRAM

What is the new structured program for Years 7–10 Maths?

At Mathstar, our structured term program is a 10-week, small group course (maximum 6 students per class) that follows a weekly plan aligned to the school curriculum — often teaching topics ahead of time. Each lesson is designed to build deep understanding through guided instruction, practice, and regular progress tracking.

How is this different from your previous classes?

Unlike ad hoc lessons, our structured program follows a clear sequence of topics, includes weekly homework, and incorporates in-class quizzes and term assessments. Small groups offer consistent progress, better planning, peer discussion and a more focused learning journey — all while still offering individual support in a small group setting.

How do you ensure the program suits my child’s level?

Before enrolling, we can conduct a placement conversation or assessment to help determine the most suitable group for your child. Even within a group setting, tutors will still differentiate instruction to challenge and support each student as needed.

Who is this program best suited for?

This program is ideal for students who already have a solid foundation in Maths and are keen to build on their skills to achieve even stronger results. If your child is currently getting average or above average scores and want to push themselves further, they’ll find plenty of opportunities to advance their understanding and tackle more challenging material. Advanced students will enjoy learning ahead and being extended with deeper-level challenges.

PROGRAM DETAILS

What topics will be covered in the 10-week term?

Each term covers core curriculum topics such as algebra, graphs, functions, equations, geometry, indices, and more. A full course outline will be provided at the start of each term so you know exactly what your child will be learning.

What’s included in the program fee?

The program fee covers:

  • 10 structured lessons (1 per week)
  • Lesson workbook
  • Weekly homework, marking and feedback
  • Ongoing tutor feedback
  • In-class topic quizzes
  • A mid-term and end-of-term assessment
  • Written progress report

PROGRAM FEES

What if we’re not sure it’s the right fit?

We offer a no-risk guarantee! If after the first two lessons you feel the program isn’t right for your child, we’ll provide a full refund of the remaining term fees – no questions asked.

How much does it cost and how do we pay?

The program is paid in advance per 10-week term. This ensures your child’s spot is secured for the entire term and allows tutors to plan ahead effectively. Please contact us for the latest pricing and available times.

What happens if my child misses a class?

With at least 24 hours’ notice, we’ll do our best to offer a make-up class, or provide lesson materials and catch-up support. Since the program follows a set schedule, regular attendance is encouraged to stay on track.

Will there still be personalised support in a group setting?

Yes. With a maximum of 6 students per class, tutors can give each child individual support and feedback while guiding the group through structured content. The small group model allows for both structure and responsiveness.

How do we enrol or learn more?

Simply submit an enquiry form or contact us (mathstartuition@gmail.com) and our team will help you with class options, placement, and next steps. We’ll send you the course outline, schedule, and payment details once you’re ready to begin.
